(NewsWorthy.news) – The family of two elderly victims who died in a car crash have spoken out against the young woman responsible, who was recently arrested at a college protest.

The division in both parts of the world began on October 7, 2023, when the terrorist group Hamas massacred more than a thousand innocents in Israeli towns, leading the Jewish nation to retaliate with strikes that have killed and displaced thousands more in the Gaza Strip.
On Thursday April 18, more than 100 anti-Israel protestors were arrested at Columbia University—including a woman who was not imprisoned for a deadly crash that killed two elderly citizens.
20-year-old Jennifer Seward was reportedly one of the arrested protestors, according to records obtained and sourced by the New York Post. Four years ago, at the age of 16, she is believed to have crossed double yellow lines on the road and crashed into 73-year-old Chet Hawkins and his 72-year-old wife, Connie. Police reports suggest she did not attempt to avoid the collision.
Eve Taylor, niece of the deceased couple, has said that she believes the money from Seward’s father, UPS official Bill Seward, spared the young woman from jail time. The grieving niece lamented that the student showed “no remorse” and was given “no punishment” for the tragedy she caused.
Taylor told the Post that she “basically” evaded charges of murder and is now “promoting” it “with no understanding” of what she is calling for in the Middle East. The niece added that Seward “should be behind bars” and called for the Vermont State Police to reopen her relatives’ death investigation.
Local news reported at the time that Seward was fined $220 despite reports that she may have been texting before the crash and that she gave conflicting details to police.
