Comedian Jets to WAR-TORN Country – To Find LOVE?!

(NewsWorthy.news) – African-American comedian Tiffany Haddish has angered fans with a since-deleted Instagram post in which she announced she was flying from Los Angeles to Israel to “learn and see” with her own eyes. The 44-year-old comedian did not meet her father, who was an Eritrean Jew, until later in life and had her bat-mitzvah at the age of 40. Saying she would meet her future man in Israel, Haddish suggested others visit the country too from her business class seat. When a commenter on her live post suggested she would not be visiting Gaza, she implied she would and that she would see for herself but needed to see Israel first.

Haddish was arrested once in 2022 in Georgia for driving into a resident’s yard and again in November 2023 in Los Angeles for falling asleep at the wheel of her car and faced DUI charges in December. A judge ordered her to avoid alcohol and drugs following the November arrest and to take random drug tests. She claimed to be drinking orange juice in the Instagram post and joked that champagne gives her gas.

Haddish faced more serious allegations in 2022 of child abuse when a woman claimed that she and her younger brother were abused sexually when they were child actors by Haddish and fellow comedian Aries Spears. The lawsuit described Haddish as a family friend who took advantage of a 7-year-old and 14-year-old child and claimed that the two comedians groomed the children and forced them to film explicit child pornography skits. The woman claimed that she and her brother were traumatized as a result and that they struggled to form relationships. Haddish, whose career suffered due to the allegations, expressed regret over filming the controversial scenes and said that they were intended to be funny. The case was eventually dismissed with prejudice according to court documents.

In response to criticism of her joke about finding a man in the region, the comedian stressed that she went there alone and argued that she had to make light of a situation “normal women” would not put themselves in. Haddish defended her decision to fly to the country and claimed that she cared about both sides and learned a lot from religion. In response to another fan she referred to the trip not as a vacation but as a “history lesson.”
