MSNBC Host Loses It Over Biden’s Violent Rhetoric

(NewsWorthy.news) – A mainstream media host rejected accusations that Democratic rhetoric aided in the recent assassination attempt of former president Donald Trump and instead blamed the right for engaging in “domestic violent extremism.”

Nicolle Wallace, a host with the left-wing MSNBC, made the comments in frustration during a conversation about remarks made by President Joe Biden which featured him saying Trump should be put “in a bullseye.” The commander-in-chief made the statement to donors just days before Trump slimly missed being shot dead on stage.

Following the shooting—which killed one attendee and injured two more, along with Trump, at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania—Biden gave another interview. This time, he said that “it was a mistake” to use “bullseye” in his previous remarks. The president insisted that he “meant focus on him” and his campaign, as well as the GOP candidate’s policies and “the number of lies” he allegedly shared during their recent debate.

Wallace participated in roundtable coverage of the Republican National Convention (RNC), during which the interview was brought up, and she grew noticeably annoyed about Biden’s response to the question about his “bullseye” comment.

The host ranted that the Trump-appointed director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Christopher Wray, previously testified to Congress that America’s “greatest threat” has shifted from “foreign terrorism” to “domestic violent extremism.” Wallace—a former Republican who hates Trump and stubbornly backs Biden—added that the “biggest bucket by far” within “that threat” is from “right-wing” Americans.

Wallace’s comments followed MSNBC host Joe Scarborough’s criticism of the interview the day before, at which time he accused the interview host of engaging in “phony moral relativism” by eliminating the broader context of Trump’s controversial language from the question.

In the immediate aftermath of the assassination attempt, Biden issued a call for citizens to “lower the temperature” in political differences, saying opposing sides “are not enemies.” The next day, however, he accused Trump of speaking in a way that might “incite somebody” to violence.
