(Newsworthy.news) – Several Republican senators and state representatives have called for the removal of President Joe Biden from office by using the 25th Amendment.
After a special counsel found evidence that Biden exhibited memory problems, legislators’ demands for the president’s ouster surged.
According to the report’s executive summary, the research found proof that Biden knowingly kept and disseminated classified data after leaving his position as vice president to become a private citizen. Yet they found that there was insufficient evidence to prove his guilt beyond reasonable doubt. They would not be prosecuting Biden. Additionally, similar to how he demonstrated during the interview, Biden would likely portray himself to a jury at trial as an elderly man with a bad memory.
According to the report, during his interview, Biden seemed to have trouble remembering the years of his vice presidency. He was unable to recall the exact day of his son Beau’s death.
Missouri Senator Josh Hawley tweeted that the time has come for the 25th Amendment. Sen. Mike Lee of Utah and Rep. Mary Miller of Illinois made similar statements. Sen. Rick Scott of Florida wrote that the report didn’t describe a person who should be Commander in Chief of our military.
Former Obama and Trump White House physician Ronny Jackson, MD (R-TX), believes Biden’s cabinet should dismiss Biden under the 25th Amendment.
While Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) does not believe it is appropriate to use the 25th Amendment against Biden now, he has not ruled it out for future situations.
Biden said last Thursday that he was fully aware of his surroundings and was angry with the report, saying that he couldn’t remember when his son died. According to Biden, he felt it was none of their business.
He later referred to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as “the president of Mexico” at the same news conference.
