Pelosi Knocks Trump and Then Has Her Own Mental Moment

(Newsworthy.news) – The former Speaker of the House and sworn enemy of Donald Trump blasted the former president as having “cognitive disorders” moments before confusing Trump with the sitting president.

During a recent interview with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, notorious Democrat Nancy Pelosi belittled Trump and his cognitive issues just prior to her own memory lapse, in which she began to refer to President Joe Biden when she was talking about the former commander-in-chief.

Pelosi said in the conversation, held on January 23, that she would avoid talking about Trump’s “cognitive disorders.” Maddow had inquired about Pelosi’s thoughts on Trump’s criticism of certain lawmakers’ responses to the January 6, 2021, riot in the nation’s capital. After the host seemed to mix up Pelosi’s involvement with that of current Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, the former House Speaker belittled the former president’s mental capabilities.

Pelosi explained that Trump had “tried to say” that Haley and others “did not allow” involvement from the National Guard during the incident.

“It was Joe,” Pelosi began, stopping herself to then say, “it was Donald Trump” who did not permit the National Guard to get involved. She added that Senators Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer agreed with her, and the three of them “begged for hours” that the National Guard be brought on the scene.

The mental moment ironically followed a similar situation on January 19, when, during a speech in New Hampshire, leading GOP presidential candidate Trump seemed to confuse Pelosi with Haley. In his current campaign, Trump blamed Haley, the former South Carolina governor and United Nations ambassador for the Trump administration, for the lack of security on January 6, 2021.

However, previous comments made by the former president have pointed to Pelosi as responsible for refusing help from the National Guard on the day of the riot.

Trump and Haley are the two remaining candidates running for the Republican nomination in the 2024 presidential election.
